Basing 2009 event

You can read more here about last year's event, on which the Basing House 2010 event builds.  Thank you to all those who attended.  All your hard work during the displays really paid off.  Through the battles on Sunday and Monday and through all the other displays and interpretation going on around the site over the whole bank holiday weekend, we told visitors about two episodes during the sieges of Basing House: Gage's Relief in 1644 and the final fall of the House just over a year later in 1645.   Here follows a general outline and guide to the scenarios and stories we would told on each day of the event.

Saturday 11 April - Gage's Relief: 11 September 1644

Sunday 12 April - Gage's Relief (again): "groundhog day..."

Monday 13 April - Final storming: 14 October 1645
