The map below will be updated shortly to show the location of the 2010 campsite. In the meantime, please note that the plastic camp this year will be on Basingstoke Common (which is the large green open space below the words "Basing House" on the map) and NOT the Millfield campsite as in previous years. 
 
 
 
 

 

Shops

 

Tesco Express located next to the Cromwell pub 10 min walk

Fires

 

No fires are permitted on the plastic camp site.  Raised barbeque's are OK.

 

 

Traders

 

 

General and Food traders on the plastic camp site. 

 

Pubs

 

On the plastic camp site.   

Beer tent with entertainment on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights.

 

 

Pylons

 

There are high voltage pylons running over part of the camping area. As a result no ball games, kite flying etc can be permitted in these areas.  The pylons will be cordoned off but please be vigilant.

 

Dogs

 

Dogs are permitted on the plastic campsite and the battlefield viewing area but NO dogs are allowed into Basing House grounds (this includes the LH camp site – sorry).  Please ensure to clear up after your dog. 

 

Children’s Play ground

 

There is a children's play area next to the Millstone Pub.

 

 

Local pubs

 

Millstone located next to the main camp site, landlord believes its impossible to drink his pub dry, good pub food and a selection of beers

 

The Crown located next to Basing House entrance, Beer festival on all weekend, excellent food.

 

Cromwell, North of the main camp site 10min walk, plastic beer, sky TV

 

Bolton Arms far end of The Street (if you find this on your way back to the camp site, you’re lost). Recently refurbished as a gastro pub and situated at the quiet end of the village.

 

Hatch On the A30 Basing junction, chain pub eatery, wide selection menu, large seating area, and kids play area.

 

 

Roads

 

Please follow the directions and avoid travelling through Old Basing when leaving the site on Monday evening, out of courtesy to local residents.

 

 

Basingstoke

 

If you feel the need, Basingstoke town is only a short distance away.
